摘要

This work introduces an improved vector control strategy for induction motors (IM), which is developed based on type-2 fuzzy logic (T2FL), with the objective of improving overall control performance. The proposed T2FL-based vector control (T2FLVC) scheme applies the principles of soft-computing, particularly the fuzzy logic expert system, to design and integrate two dedicated controllers for the flux and speed regulation of the IM. Owing to its ability to handle uncertainties, the T2FL framework improves robustness. It also provides adaptive control without requiring highly accurate motor parameters. Therefore, the proposed T2FLVC strategy not only mitigates the inherent drawbacks of conventional vector control techniques but also provides robust solutions to the challenges associated with nonlinear dynamics and parameter variations in IM control systems. To rigorously evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed approach, comprehensive analyses are carried out alongside both simulation and experimental investigations. The implementation is performed on an IM drive system supplied by a voltage source multilevel inverter (VSMI) and operated under a hysteresis switching (HS) mechanism. The results demonstrate improved dynamic response and robustness under varying operating conditions.
