Robust stability of uncertain descriptor systems with time-varying delay

This paper investigates the robust stability of uncertain descriptor systems with time-varying delays. By employing the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach, several sufficient conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities are derived to ensure the asymptotic and robust stability of the systems under consideration. A key advantage of the method used in this paper is its transformation of the original uncertain descriptor systems into interconnected subsystem descriptor systems through a three-term approximation of the delayed state, combined with the generalized integral inequality approach. Several straightforward examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.
