Purpose of Review <p>Opioid use disorder (OUD) is a pervasive health crisis with individual and societal consequences. While existing treatments can be effective, many individuals with OUD struggle with persistent craving and drug use recurrence, highlighting the need for adjunctive therapies.</p> Recent Findings <p>Neuromodulation techniques, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and focused ultrasound (FUS), offer promising approaches for OUD management and treatment. These interventions target brain regions involved in craving, reward processing, executive control, and emotional regulation, known to be disrupted in OUD.</p> Summary <p>This review reports the current literature, highlighting the neuroanatomical targets, outcomes, and future directions for each approach. With continued investigation, neuromodulation holds potential to become a valuable tool for the treatment of OUD and other substance use disorders.</p>

Recent Findings
