An inverse-free iteration method for the tensor absolute value equation

In this paper, we propose an inverse-free iteration method (IFI) based on tensor splitting for solving the tensor absolute value equation (TAVE). This method only requires computing tensor-vector multiplications instead of computing the inverse of a tensor, which significantly reduces the computational complexity. Under some appropriate conditions, we have established the convergence results of our method. Additionally, we use some numerical examples to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the IFI method.
