摘要

In this note, a model-based event-triggered controller is developed for the consensus of general linear multi-agent systems in which the information is exchanged between the agents with varying delay. A novel prediction-based scheme is proposed for the event-triggering mechanism to reduce the destructive effect of the varying transmission delay on the system’s performance. Using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii theorem, the synthesis condition is derived in terms of computationally amenable linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), to tune the parameters of the event-triggered controller. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the merits of the developed method compared to some rival ones. It is demonstrated that the suggested method increases the maximum tolerable delay and decreases the communication demand.
