摘要

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a major cause of mortality worldwide. A subset of patients with COPD have pulmonary type 2 inflammation, creating an opportunity for a personalised medicine approach in these individuals. Dupilumab and mepolizumab are approved for the management of COPD with type 2 inflammation, while ensifentrine is approved for use in a broader COPD population. Several more biological therapies (including tezepemulab, tozorakimab and itepekimab) remain under investigation for COPD with type 2 inflammation.
