Neoantigen melanoma therapy has the potential to advance melanoma therapy and improve patient outcomes
摘要
There is a need for novel treatments for melanoma, for which current treatments targeting mutagenicity and immunogenicity are often limited by secondary resistance and severe adverse events. Individualised therapies utilising neoantigens (mutated proteins specific to an individual’s tumour) are being explored to leverage the patient’s own immune system to target cancer cells. Current trials include those exploring the combination of neoantigen vaccines with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
