摘要

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a significant, recently recognised cause of respiratory illness in older people in whom pharmacological preventive and treatment options are lacking. Three vaccines, however, are now approved in people aged ≥ 60 years. RSVPreF (Abrysvo), RSVPreF3 OA (Arexvy) and mRNA-1345 (mResvia) each reduced the incidence of confirmed RSV infections after a single dose. Vaccines were generally well tolerated, with the incidence of severe adverse event being similar to placebo. RSV vaccination should be discussed with all older adults.
