Adis summary of research: Early effects of perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution on patient-reported outcomes in dry eye disease: a prospective, open-label, multicenter study
摘要
Dry eye disease (DED) causes tear film instability and symptoms like dryness, burning and blurred vision. Perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution (PFHO) forms a protective barrier on the eye, reducing tear evaporation. Clinical trials have shown that PFHO is more effective than saline in relieving DED. This Adis Summary of Research evaluates patient-reported outcomes (symptom severity, symptom frequency, treatment satisfaction) during the first 2 weeks of PFHO treatment in adults with DED.
