<p>Dry eye disease (DED) causes tear film instability and symptoms like dryness, burning and blurred vision. Perfluorohexyloctane ophthalmic solution (PFHO) forms a protective barrier on the eye, reducing tear evaporation. Clinical trials have shown that PFHO is more effective than saline in relieving DED.
