<p>Dermatophytoses (also known as tinea infections or ringworm), once easily managed with short-term antifungal therapy, are increasingly demonstrating resistance to standard of care antifungal treatments. <i>Trichophyton indotineae</i> has been identified as an emerging causative resistant fungal strain that is spreading globally. An increased awareness of antifungal-resistant dermatophyte infections, coupled with antifungal stewardship efforts, is needed to properly manage this group of fungal infections.</p>
