Adis summary of research: Efficacy and safety of esketamine nasal spray in patients with treatment-resistant depression who completed a second induction period: analysis of the ongoing SUSTAIN-3 study
摘要
Esketamine nasal spray (hereafter referred to as esketamine) in conjunction with an oral antidepressant (OAD) is used to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). In some recipients, a reduction in dosing frequency, or treatment discontinuation may result in relapse or a worsening of depressive symptoms. This Adis Summary of Research summarizes the efficacy and tolerability of a second induction (IND) and maintenance course of esketamine + OAD in a subgroup of adults with TRD in a phase 3 study (SUSTAIN-3) who relapsed after responding to previous esketamine + OAD therapy.
