摘要

Purpose of Review

This paper aims to explore the rehabilitation implications of hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT) and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, addressing the dearth of literature on rehabilitation for CAR T-cell recipients compared to HSCT patients.

Recent Findings

While HSCT recipients commonly face weakness and deconditioning, CAR T-cell therapy recipients experience unique toxicities like cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). Prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and prospective surveillance have emerged as crucial components in managing these challenges, with multidisciplinary approaches showing promise.

Summary

Interdisciplinary prehabilitation and rehabilitation are vital, initiated early and maintained throughout, to effectively address treatment-related sequelae. This review guides future research towards developing targeted interventions and improving outcomes in cellular therapy recipients.
