Purpose of Review <p>This review explores gender-affirming rhinoplasty in African American transfeminine patients, highlighting the specific anatomical considerations and surgical approaches recommended for this demographic within the context of an increasing demand for gender affirming care.</p> Recent Findings <p>Although literature on Gender affirming rhinoplasty predominantly addresses Caucasian patients, it is critical to recognize unique characteristics of African American noses. Studies indicate a significant number of transgender individuals identifying as people of color, emphasizing the need for culturally competent care. Surgical techniques must account for both functional and aesthetic factors while balancing ethnicity and gender identity specific goals.</p> Summary <p>As interest in gender affirming care grows, the rhinoplasty surgeon should be equipped with an understanding of the distinct needs of the African American transgender. Comprehensive preoperative evaluations and customized surgical approaches can enhance outcomes, thereby facilitating alignment of physical appearance with gender identity.
