Tunnel Assembly-Type Temporary Support Joint Bearing Capacity

For the tunnel construction, the RC central diaphragms take a long time to close and is not easy to reuse. These problems can be solved effectively if temporary steel structure supports are used instead of traditional concrete partition supports. Based on Xicheng Mountain tunnel project, this paper analyzes the ultimate bearing capacity of four types of steel structures by numerical simulation. The results show that it is feasible to apply prefabricated temporary steel support structure to tunnel construction. Prefabricated temporary steel support structure is fast installation and easy to reuse; the ultimate bearing capacity of the joint with diagonal braces is 40% higher than that of the joint without diagonal braces.
