Recent results of the J-PARC linac beam commissioning
摘要
The Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) linac has been operated at its design peak current of 50 mA since 2018, with several test operations conducted at a higher peak current of 60 mA. Moreover, the potential for achieving an even higher beam current is being investigated for future projects at J-PARC. To this end, beam tests were performed at nominal currents of 50 mA and 60 mA during commissioning. In this paper, we report the commissioning results, focusing particularly on the medium-energy beam transport section (MEBT1), located downstream of the ion source and the 3-MeV radio-frequency quadrupole linac (RFQ).
