摘要

Due to their enriched mechanical and thermal behaviour, polymer-based composites are important in various engineering applications, including automotive, aerospace, and structural. With this regard, the present work involves fabricating the polypropylene composite with the adaptation of sisal natural fiber as 0–20 wt% with the break of 5 wt% via the hand layup technique. The sisal natural fibers are processed with 5% sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and utilized for polypropylene composite fabrication to enhance the adhesive behaviour. Finally, impacts of sisal natural fiber with NaOH concentration on mechanical characteristics of prepared polypropylene composites are investigated through ASTM standards, and the composite contained 20 wt% NaOH treated sisal natural fiber own superior tensile/flexural and hardness of 72.5 ± 0.5 MPa, 103.5 ± 0.8 MPa and 43 ± 0.6 HV rather than polypropylene matrix without reinforcement.
