摘要

The main aim of this experimental article is to provide comprehensive knowledge about alternative cementous material. Replacing cement in an appropriate ratio leads to a reduction in carbon emissions. PSA or Parali Straw Ash is used as a partial cement replacement material with varying percentages from zero (controlled) to 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% by weight of cement, respectively. The present investigation aimed to examine the potential of PSA as a material for partial replacement of cement, with a focus on assessing its influence on the mechanical, physical, and thermal characteristics of mortar. The results of the study indicate that the incorporation of PSA in mortar can be a viable alternative, as it demonstrates satisfactory performance when replacing up to 30% of cement content, without any detrimental effects on the overall integrity of the mortar. PSA is an excellent thermal insulator due to its low electrical conductivity.
