Investigating the Mechanical Aspects of Natural Fiber-Based Structural Composite for Hybrid Energy Storage Applications

Current energy storage devices are delicate, hold limited capacity, and struggle to achieve maximum energy conversion efficiency. While breakthroughs are unlikely in the near future, advancements can come from either exploring new materials or integrating with existing systems. We propose a novel approach: a hybrid material development for a hybrid mode of energy storage, never before seen in the scientific community. This work investigates the feasibility of this system by examining the mechanical properties of a prototype hybrid composite, paving the way for future exploration of its broader potential in mechanical, thermal, electrochemical, and microstructural aspects for energy storage applications.
