Recovery of Total Heavy Minerals Using Judicious Combinations of Spiral Concentrators from a lean Grade Bramhagiri Beach Sand Deposit
摘要
In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the performance of two different model spirals. Following the assessment, experiments were conducted to recover the rougher product using CT spirals and the total heavy minerals through cleaning with HG8 spirals. The findings of the study indicate that the optimal slurry concentration for both CT and HG8 spirals is 15% solids concentration. The rougher concentrate obtained from the CT spiral exhibited a THM content of 20.1% with 80% recovery, while the tailings had a minimal THM loss of 0.92%. Using HG8 spirals on the CT rougher concentrate, the end product obtained from the cleaner and middling of spirals contained 97.8% THM with a yield of 3.3% and a recovery rate of 68.4% from a feed sample contain 4.72% THM.
