Forging Study of SiCp/Al Composite Bracket Arm
摘要
Based on DEFORM-3D finite element software, the suitable fracture criterion was selected, and the forging of SiC particulate reinforced Aluminium matrix (SiCp/Al) composite bracket arms was optimized. Firstly, by comparing the simulation results of different fracture criteria with experimental, it was determined that the Ayada fracture criterion is more suitable for the forging of SiCp/Al composite. Then, the influences of initial temperature, forging speed and friction factor on the forging characteristics were investigated. In addition, the peak stress, strain, temperature and damage values at the end of forging were used as the optimization indexes in the orthogonal experimental design. By analyzing the sensitivity of each factor to the optimization index, the best combination of process parameters was finally derived. The results show that the initial forging temperature of 460 °C, the forging speed of 25 mm/s and the friction factor of 0.3 can effectively ensure the production and forging quality.
