摘要

FSO communication is a cutting-edge wireless communication system that uses visible or infrared light to send data at different distances in the sky. FSO communication use concentrated light beams, fueled by lasers or light-emitting diodes, to enable swift and secure data transmission between devices, in contrast to conventional cable techniques. The aforementioned technology possesses notable benefits, such as exceptional data transfer speeds, substantially decreased latency, and an enhanced level of data security, rendering it an essential resource in the fields of telecommunications, data centers, and space exploration. Nevertheless, the execution of FSO systems is not devoid of difficulties, as they must comply with rigorous safety rules and minimize air interference to guarantee signal stability. However, the continuous research and development endeavors persist in advancing FSO technology, establishing it as a potentially advantageous option for high-bandwidth, short-to-medium-distance communication in various applications. This article explores the most recent developments and real-world implementations of Free Space Optical (FSO) technology, encompassing communication systems in terrestrial, aerial, and space domains. Additionally, it examines relevant concerns such as air interference and signal stability.
