Securing Data Privacy in the Food Supply Chain Using Integrated BC-FL Technology
摘要
The surge in global population and health concerns has raised concerns about the adequacy and quality of food production. The contemporary food supply chain (FSC), involving numerous external stakeholders, has become complex and vulnerable towards malicious attacks. Dealing with such challenges requires a pioneering technological strategy that ensures the system's efficiency. To address this, the present study proposes a two-step solution to enhance the current food supply chain process. By incorporating advanced technologies, namely Federated Learning and blockchain, this research attempts to significantly improve the efficiency of the FSC. Federated Learning maps data on local devices and transmits only pertinent parameters, minimizes storage requirements, and augments system security. Blockchain technology contributes vital safety features and ensures traceability within the SC. Through the integration of these technologies, the research provides an innovative resolution to security, visibility, and scalability concerns in the contemporary FSC.
