It encompasses diverse datasets across oceanography, glaciology, environmental science, meteorology, biology, and ecology. Since its establishment, the NPDC has adhered to internationally recognized standards set by bodies such as the Standing Committee on Antarctic Data Management (SCADM) under the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), ensuring a robust infrastructure for secure data storage and efficient data discovery. The core mission of the NPDC is to facilitate transparent and collaborative dissemination of scientific data derived from polar research projects spearheaded by the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India.
