<p>Assessing species status at a regional scale is crucial for effective conservation planning. Despite India housing four biodiversity hotspots, many taxonomic groups, like centipedes, lack comprehensive assessments of their distributional patterns. Additionally, available data are fragmented, often unreliable, and tend to be biased toward certain species or regions. In this context, we aim to address some of these gaps by documenting five new state records for species within the family Scolopendridae. <i>Rhysida crassispina</i>, <i>R. lewisi</i>, <i>Scolopendra ellorensis</i>, and <i>S. indiae</i> are reported from Kerala for the first time, while <i>R. aspinosa</i> is documented for the first time from Karnataka.</p>
