Effect of Hydroalcoholic Extract of Chamomile, Aloe Vera, and Green Tea on the Diabetic Wound in Rats

This investigation was designed to reveal the wound-curing properties of hydroalcoholic extract of Chamomile, Aloe Vera, and Green Tea on dermal wounds. Eighty rats were chosen randomly and divided into ten groups. Streptozotocin was injected intraperitoneally to induce diabetes. After induction of adhesion lesions, the case groups received extract with two doses of 25 and 50 mg/kg for 11 days. Then Platelet-derived growth factor, Nitric oxide, Interleukin 6, Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor, and Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha were determined. In this study, significant increases in Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Platelet-derived growth factor were observed in mice treated with chamomile and Aloe Vera extract. Interleukin 6 has increased in diabetic control groups, but it showed a significant reduction in animals treated with extracts. Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha was also increased in the diabetic control group. The results of the study revealed that the hydroalcoholic extract of Chamomile and Aloe Vera significantly affects open wound healing.
