摘要

This study investigates the optical and dielectric properties of the nematic liquid crystal 4′-heptyl[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-carbonitrile (7CB) doped with tin nanoparticles (Sn-NPs) at concentrations of 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6 wt% in both planar and homeotropic aligned cells. The results reveal that the liquid crystal system exhibits the most enhanced dielectric response at a doping concentration of 0.4 wt% Sn-NPs. Furthermore, dielectric analysis indicates the presence of a single relaxation process in both types of aligned cells. These findings highlight potential role of tin nanoparticles in modifying and optimizing the dielectric performance of nematic liquid crystal systems.
