Development of Smart Photovoltaic Grass Cutting Robot Operated by Smartphone
摘要
This study investigated the design, functionality, and performance of a photovoltaic grass cutter, focusing on its efficiency and environmental benefits as a sustainable alternative to gasoline-powered lawn mowers. The grass cutter features 110 mm diameter wheels, a nylon wire cutting tool, ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, bluetooth control for remote operation with a 10-m range, and a 12.6 V battery management system (BMS) for safe and efficient battery usage. A solar panel powers the device, which was tested for power consumption, area coverage, and operational efficiency. The experimental results showed less power consumption compared to gasoline and corded grass cutters, quiet operation, and the ability to cover 226.1 m2 in 2 h with an operational rate of 0.03 m2/s. Key advantages include portability, no fuel requirements, zero emissions, and ease of use. The solar grass cutter provides a practical, eco-friendly solution for lawn maintenance, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative for residential and commercial applications.
