Range Extension of the Western Ghats’ Endemic Herb Cyanotis karliana Hassk., (Commelinaceae) to Rajasthan’s Aravalli Hills
摘要
Cyanotis karliana Hassk. (Commelinaceae) is an endemic herb to the northern Western Ghats, previously known only from Belagavi and Uttara Kannada districts of Karnataka, and Kolhapur, Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Satara districts of Maharashtra. In this report, we document its occurrence for the first time in the Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve, located in Bundi district, Rajasthan. This finding represents a significant extension of the species’ known distribution from the northern Western Ghats to the Aravalli Hills and constitutes a new addition to the flora of Rajasthan.
