Morphological Identification, Biology, and Morphometrics of the Babul Whitefly Acaudaleyrodes rachipora (Singh) with a New Host Record on Commiphora wightii in the Indian Arid Zone
摘要
The babul whitefly, Acaudaleyrodes rachipora (Singh, 1931) is a major pest of trees in arid and semi-arid regions of the Indian subcontinent. This study provides detailed insights into its morphology, biology, and morphometric characteristics to facilitate accurate identification and effective management. The life cycle, including egg, nymphal, pupal, and adult stages, we examined under controlled conditions at ICFRE-AFRI, Jodhpur, revealing a total developmental period of approximately 21.71 days. Findings highlight key morphological traits and biological parameters essential for developing targeted control strategies against A. rachipora infestations.
