Evaluating Lithium-ion Battery Characteristics Under Various Load Conditions Using MATLAB/Simulink
摘要
The transportation industry shifting towards electric vehicles, and ensuring lithium-ion batteries’ safety and efficiency is crucial. The batteries should be monitored properly through a system named battery management system which takes responsibility for monitoring all the essential parameters for safety purposes. In that cell temperature is one of the critical parameters, has a greater impact in terms of the safety of the passengers and the vehicle. This study investigates the cell temperature by using lithium-ion batteries to operate the system under various loads, such as no load, half load, and full load conditions through the implementation of an improved Simulink model using MATLAB/Simulink software. our results show that the proposed BMS effectively maintains cell temperature within safe limits, preventing overheating and enhancing system efficiency. This research contributes to the development of reliable and sustainable electric vehicle batteries.
