<p>The present study highlights the first occurrence of <i>Pseudorhombus triocellatus</i> from coastal waters of Ratnagiri along the west coast of India. Monthly sampling was conducted from Dec 2024 to April 2025 using a motorized commercial trawl fishing boat along the Jaigad coast, at a depth of 36&#xa0;m. A total of five individuals of <i>Pseudorhombus triocellatus</i> were collected. External characteristics were examined for the identification purpose and are illustrated. This finding contributes to the understanding of <i>Pseudorhombus triocellatus</i> diversity along the Indian coast.</p>
