<p>During the microfungal survey in various forest areas of Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, Karnataka, the authors collected specimens of <i>Memnoniella</i>. After a detailed morpho-molecular analysis, the species was identified as <i>Memnoniella longistipitata</i>, whose type species was reported by D.W. Li, Chin S. Yang, Vesper &amp; Haugland in 2003 from Japan and later on it was reported from Malawi and Thailand. This study provides a comprehensive account of <i>M. longistipitata</i> with detailed morphological description and multi-gene (ITS + β-tub) phylogenetic analysis, and reports it for the first time from India.</p>

摘要
