<p>Kyphosis is a rare case of developmental anomaly and such a condition is very rare in the turtle family Trionychidae. From India, there is only one reported case of kyphosis in the Indian flap shell turtle, <i>Lissemys punctata</i> (Bonnaterre), and herewith we report kyphosis for the first time in the peacock softshell turtle, <i>Nilssonia hurum</i> (Gray), in a wild-caught individual rescued from a waterbody in Mayurbhanj district of North Odisha, India. We also provided morphological characters for a juvenile specimen rescued from the Budhabalanga River in Mayurbhanj, Odisha, India.</p>

摘要
