摘要

This study investigates the different fabric properties of union fabrics made from lyocell and eri silk yarns. Three fabric samples namely LES I, LES II, LES III (LES: Lyocell and Eri silk union fabric) were developed using constant lyocell and varying eri silk weft yarn counts (35Ne, 17Ne and 23Ne respectively). The fabric properties were evaluated through a series of standardized tests in order to determine their mechanical, comfort and functional properties. The findings revealed significant variation in fabric performance based on yarn properties and construction parameters. The study highlights the potential of lyocell and eri silk union fabrics in sustainable fashion, offering a unique blend of performance and properties through traditional handloom weaving technique.
