摘要

We report a naturalized Selaginella davidii Franch. (1884) as a new distribution record in India and Selaginella delicatula (Desv. ex Poir.) Alston. (1932) as a new record in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. During extensive field research of Selaginellaceae Willk. (1854) of Arunachal Pradesh, between 2019 and 2023. Selaginella P. Beauv. (1805) species has been found thriving in Nature. S. davidii is a trailing herb, main stem creeping spreading up to an area of 5–6 m; leaves are dimorphic, strobili tetragonal ca. 0.8 cm long with compactly arranged sporophylls, S. davidii was found growing in Bomdila, West Kameng District. S. delicatula is an upright plant with a height of ca. 16.5 cm, rhizophore restricted to the base, soft stem with dimorphic leaves, tetragonal strobili with loosely arranged sporophylls. S. delicatula was found growing in Rumgong, Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. We provided descriptions, photoplates and Scanning electron micrographs of spores magnified upto nano meter for microsculptural view for proper recognition of the species and distribution map of the species.
