Comparative Milk Proteome Analysis and Differentially Expressed Proteins of Sahiwal and Kankrej Cattle
摘要
Research into bioactive components has attracted considerable attention due to its uses in human nutrition and health. In the present study, milk proteins were examined from Sahiwal and Kankrej cattle milk using the LC-MS/MS technique, and a comparative study was carried out. The low- and high-abundance proteins in milk were extracted using precipitation. The study identified major upregulated and downregulated proteins in Sahiwal as compared to Kankrej cattle. The most downregulated DEGs were Autoprotease p20, serum amyloid A protein, and Ig heavy chain variable region, and the upregulated proteins were tyrosine-protein kinase, SH2 domain-containing protein, and non-specific serine/threonine-protein kinase in Sahiwal in comparison with Kankrej cattle.
