Keeping up to date – Lese- und Informationsverhalten von Lehrkräften im Beruf
摘要
How can the reading and information behavior of teachers in their jobs be described as an important component of their informal learning? Based on a written survey of N = 301 teachers from Germany/North Rhine-Westphalia, the use of various print and online media formats for job-related purposes is analyzed in detail. In line with previous studies, the findings show an overall high average frequency of use with a preference for practical literature, including in the field of educational science, while explicitly research-related media formats are rarely used. These findings are discussed with regard to the resources of teachers and the demand for a stronger evidence orientation of their actions.
