摘要

Worldwide, water management is facing major challenges due to climate change. Extreme weather events such as droughts and floods are on the rise and require innovative solutions. As part of the European research and development project „Innovating Climate Services through Integrating Scientific and Local Knowledge” (I-CISK) climate information services were developed in seven living labs to provide a better basis for decision-making on short-, medium-, and long-term measures. We present examples of the work and solutions for the Rijnland in The Netherlands. The shared resource of water is of primary importance to the stakeholders involved in this living lab, as well as in most others. The particular open-source web applications were co-developed in close collaboration with end users so that they specifically address their previously identified information needs.
