Ergebnisse aus der Illerstrategie zu Fischwanderung und Habitatgestaltung - Erkenntnisse für die zukünftigen Wege zum guten Zustand oder Potenzial
摘要
The middle section of the Iller River between Altusried and Lautrach (Germany) is characterized by intensive anthropogenic use. A combination of various river restoration measures, including near-natural fish passages and gravel augmentation, demonstrated positive effects. Fish populations and macrozoobenthos particularly benefited from these interventions. However, the construction of fish passages alone proved insufficient in heavily modified river sections to elicit positive impacts on the biocoenosis. A holistic approach, integrating measures in both the main river channel and tributaries, is necessary to sustainably enhance the ecological potential of the river system.
