<p>50 IoT precipitation sensors were installed in Lübeck, Bochum, Hagen and Lüdenscheid as part of the heavyRAIN project. The sensor response to rain was tested in the laboratory before they were installed at suitable urban locations. The results of the sensor measurements were compared with radar measurements of precipitation. With the help of a data cube, relationships in space and time were analysed and insights into the correlation of the measurement data could be gained from the heavy rainfall events of a year.</p>
