<p>Temperature-reduced asphalt will become obligatory in 2025 also for asphalt linings in hydraulic engineering. In order to analyse the construction and compaction, a field trial was constructed. Three technologies were tested - chemical additives, mineral additives and foamed bitumen. One part of the trial field was constructed using conventional production temperature. The feasibility was proven for installation and handling on the site. The laboratory analysis of 47 drill-cores showed that installation with the paver meets the requirements for asphalt linings. For the manual installation and for the joints, a higher sensitivity is needed in order to meet the requirements. Hence, increased quality management and control is strongly recommended.</p>
