This paper describes various construction methods and technologies adopted at various projects around the world such as: Monte Grande Dam in the Dominican Republic (Latin America), executing diaphragm walls; a cut-off wall as seepage barrier beneath the new dam and for protection of the new spillway, at New Assiut Barrage in Egypt (Africa) installing a cut-off wall by trench cutter using self-hardening slurry to seal a temporary ring dam within the river Nile, as well diaphragm walls, piles and wells for the new barrage and shiplock structure, at Skhalta Dam in Georgia (Asia) constructing the cut-off wall as secant pile wall, and at Arun 3 in Nepal (Asia) where a grout curtain by means of permeation/tube-à-manchette grouting was installed within river born material, and rock grouting was applied below.
