Ethohydraulische Untersuchungen zur Passierbarkeit des Wendelfischpasses

Using ethohydraulic studies, the passability of the Spiral Fish Pass for both upstream and downstream fish migration was investigated in the hydraulic model at the TU Darmstadt and verified with restrictions. In addition to conventional behavioural observations, telemetry-based counts were also used. Very good passability was found for the fish descent. As expected, there was size selectivity for the fish ascent due to the scale of the laboratory model.
