Zu Wasserversorgungsanlagen am Obergermanisch-Rätischen Limes in Baden-Württemberg
摘要
Without water there is no life, and therefore is no permanent Roman settlement without a water supply. And: the Romans were gourmets, especially when it came to water! Archaeologists are always happy when they find well shafts - because there are usually exciting things to be found in them - but they usually do not consciously research what the water supply was like. How could a Roman fort or settlement even exist? Water managers can help here. The author attempts this in the area of the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes ORL in Baden-Württemberg.
