Best Practice - Beispiele für gelungene Dammpflege
摘要
As technical structures, dams and dykes should on the one hand meet the requirements of stability and on the other hand provide valuable habitats for rare animal and plant species. The requirements of dam safety arising from the concessions and the relevant dam safety norms must be fulfilled. Beyond these and from the point of view of nature conservation, a diversification of habitat structures is desirable. How these initially contradictory objectives can be agreed is shown using the examples of the Mittlere Isar Kanal and the river Lech.
