Dammsanierung und Dammpflege: wirken Verordnungen zum Naturschutzrecht positiv?

  • Georg Loy

摘要

Flood safety measures, increase of embankment dams is due to changing hydrological conditions but also changes and adaptions of technical German standards and regulations a common issue at the river Inn in Bavaria and Austria. Biological diversity is already considered during the planning stage. Due to a lack of maintenance over the past centuries, trees and bushes have covered large areas of the embankment dams. To allow flood inspections and improve stability, trees are now abandoned, and bushes are reduced on a large scale. As a result and also during projects for the new design flood (2004) - to withstand a one in thousand years flood - the ecological condition along the Inn river improved significantly. Due to specific approaches to the implementation of conservation laws, especially in Bavaria in recent years, projects become for the sake of formality more complicated and there are doubts that this approach motivate to enhance and improve the environmental conditions along the Inn river.
