摘要

According to Statista, approximately 51.231 prescription drugs were approved in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2024. Among these drugs are numerous medications used to treat diseases closely linked to the Western lifestyle and affluence. Some of these diseases of affluence, such as cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, arteriosclerosis), type 2 diabetes, overweight/obesity, exhaustion (physical/mental), allergies, autoimmune diseases, and certain types of cancer, when viewed from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, have their origin in a weakened middle. Chinese doctors and therapists recognized this as early as 2,000 years ago. To strengthen a weak core, they have already supplemented phytotherapy with medicinal mushrooms such as Reishi, Hericium erinaceus, Shiitake, Maitake, or Poria cocos, and have even published this in the Huangdi Neijing (黄帝内经; „The Inner Classic of the Yellow Emperor“). This written, traditional knowledge about these medicinal mushrooms has been confirmed and supplemented by modern research findings, so that even in the 21st century, sick people can benefit from them.
