<p>The central role of the heart in the fire transformation phase in the organism is described from the perspective of TCM. The effect of fire energy “<i>huo</i>” with its manifestations as “imperial fire” (“<i>shen</i>”) of the heart and „ministerial fire” as yang energy for all metabolic processes in the triple warmer and body heat is explained. The special functions and aspects of the heart with the decisive fire energy <i>huo</i> play an important role in the context of the other elements for the development of the adult and the mature human being on all levels and the resulting possibilities for shaping life.</p>
