摘要

Traditional Chinese Medicine can initially seem foreign to professionals trained in the West. Mainstream medicine particularly makes efforts to understand Chinese theories on how diseases arise, and the approaches to their treatment, as the Chinese tradition follows different schools of thought. When examining this issue, it is striking that psychotherapy, often viewed as the weakest link of Western Medicine, struggling to achieve recognition, has significant parallels with Traditional Chinese Medicine. The aim of this paper is to analyze these two areas, and provide a detailed discussion on this subject.
