摘要

In the 5 element theory, fear is assigned to the element water. On the one hand, fear is necessary for survival, but is subjectively assessed as unpleasant and is associated with physical symptoms of tension and, if chronic, with physical and mental illness. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses in Germany. If the fear is of traumatic origin, if left untreated it often causes physical or psychological damage for decades. Intensive fear research aims to find methods for fear therapy, but unfortunately also to abuse fear for manipulation purposes. Collective fear in particular is used for manipulation purposes in business and politics. This article deals with the description of the causes of anxiety and several methods to expose them and thus have an anxiety-relieving effect. In the medical and naturopathic practice, we should also be able to inform and support the patient holistically. The article discusses neurobiological principles, as well as research results and studies.
